Review:
We saw it tonight with about 30 friends at a pre-release screening in Atlanta. Let me say I am a woman 50 years of movie lovers. Fi science is not my favorite genre, but I have seen many science fi classic. I do not know what to expect because I have not always been a fan of sci-fi comedy. For example, even a little entertaining, I'm not wild Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I'm wild about some of the cast members, but not really film.So, we arrived at the theater was packed. They will be away at the door. Even though I had my doubts and was not sure I like this, it turns out I love it! ALL members of the audience seemed to laugh at themselves through a lot of movies hysterics. And the audience applauded wildly FULL FINAL WARNING: This movie is NOT for devout religion or for those offended by the swearing and sexual references. Period. If you feel you might be offended by the anti-religious jokes, swearing, or sexual references, then do not go. And I would recommend for older teens only, NOT teens.Amazingly young, in the first 20 minutes or so, I found myself thinking that it is fun! If only they can make sure it IS funny for the rest of the film ..... So many Comedy starts with a bang and then just tired at the end of the film ..... But I still could not be more wrong. It not only saved an incredible speed, but introduces many great characters along the way.If you enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it would be up your alley. There are so many sci fi movie references (Alien, ET, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, Star Wars, Alien, Predator, etc.) It has a wonderful cast, wonderful character development, and great terrible script goes from sweet and moving, funny , scary, and back. It is really super fun! It is immoral, it would certainly offend some American Christians, and it is very sci-fi, but it's really funny. So you love sci-fi comedy, GO! RUN to the theater to see it on the big screen. Bring your friends and visitors, guests, visitors!
